Why Angelica Built Fueled by AF

Angelica started Fueled by AF after noticing two major gaps while training for an Ironman and working with people with disabilities. She wanted to create better protein snacks and build a company where people with disabilities could have meaningful jobs. Today the entire manufacturing facility is staffed by those employees.
Fueled by AF was created to solve two problems at once. Healthier, higher protein snacks without fillers, and real employment opportunities for people who are often overlooked.
Four years later, the company operates a 2,500 square foot manufacturing plant and continues to scale nationally.
What Changed Once Amazon Ads Were Structured Correctly
Amazon was the gateway for Fueled by AF to grow beyond their local community.
We focused on campaign structure, targeting, budget allocation, and creative so their products showed up for shoppers actively searching for better for you snacks.
As conversion rates climbed, Amazon began rewarding the listings with stronger organic rankings and sponsored placements.
That momentum unlocked much bigger changes inside the business itself.
The Ripple Effect Inside Their Operation
Once sales started accelerating, Angelica had to restructure training programs and production layouts inside their facility.
Within two months, output increased by 30 percent.
Momentum inside the team drove another 10 percent lift shortly after, especially when employees saw Amazon trucks picking up pallets of products they made themselves.
That excitement translated directly into productivity and pride.
What Most Founders Miss About Amazon Growth
Angelica shared three lessons that stood out:
